We Are

Every major city has their own gay pride event. The City of Amsterdam wanted to elevate their event to a week long festival to include cultural and sporting activities. The project embroiders on the city branding project 'I Amsterdam'. VBAT developed 'We are Amsterdam Gay Pride'. The new name can be translated to various communication expressions: We are Dancing, We are Proud and We are Coming Out. The new logo refers to a flower that has sprouted and is blossoming. The outline of the flower is formed by the well-known Amsterdam canal houses. The logo is a symbol for blooming, radiation, pride and being oneself.
